Hulu’s Wu-Tang Series Set To Have Star-Studded Cast

Dave East is the most recent rapper to join Hulu’s upcoming scripted drama series based on the origin of Wu-Tang Clan. According to DeadlineEast is set to be a regular in Wu-Tang: An American Saga, which has already had a 10-episode run ordered.

Joining a cast consisting of The Sopranos Vinnie Pastore, Ashton Sanders, Shamiek Moore, Siddiq Saunderson, and Marcus Callender, who were announced to be starring.

Written and created by The RZA and writer Alex Tse, the series will tell the story of one of music most influential groups. Set in NYC in the early 90s, the series will explore the formation and rise of the Hip Hop supergroup along with the crack epidemic spreading the streets of New York.

The show is determined to depict their story as realistic as possible, as Wu-Tang members The RZA and Method Man are set to executive produce. Other group members, Ghostface Killa, Inspectah Deck, Masta Killa, and GZA will serve as consulting producers on the series.
