Nerds rejoice! It is finally that time of year where we can cosplay our favourite characters, get our memorabilia signed by the creators, and get hyped for what the future has in store for our entertainment: SAN DIEGO COMIC CON 2018 IS UPON US!! We here at Nerdy Scoop understand that a plane ticket to San Diego alone is pricey, so we got you covered right from the comfort of your home! We’ll shine light on your FOMO all week for coverage and highlights of the biggest announcements at this year’s Comic Con!

All good things must come to an end, and that goes the same for Comic Con. Yesterday was the fourth and final day of the 48th annual San Diego Comic Con, but the vibes were all celebration as we got news from WBTV once again, Marvel Comics, and there were some cool exhibits and displays up for viewing!

This gave me chills. While a majority of it was a season 2 recap, we got some hints at what’s to come next season. A lot of people that Sabrina the Teenage Witch will have something to do with the change in tone and eerie vibes, maybe as a kickoff to her new Netflix show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,  set to come out soon. It’s definitely going to take place during the school year, since Summer is done, and by the looks of it, things are going to get really weird! Maybe even…. supernatural? Season 3 begins on October 10th.

Instead of a trailer, CW decided to give fans a sizzle reel of season 13! As we are reminded how how epic and amazing season 13 was to the voice of Motörhead, we get a release date for season 14, which will be on October 11th.

We don’t know too much about this yet, just it will be making a return this November. More news is to be posted late on Marvel’s website. Most of the time was spent emphasizing and promoting…..

The MCU pulled out of Comic Con this year, but that doesn’t mean Marvel can’t make headlines using the thing that got them to where they are in the first place, the comics! Since the Fox-Marvel merger deal is a definite at this point with Comcast backing down, Marvel will be releasing a new comic line for the mutants to re-promote them; X-Men Black! This October, 5 different creative teams will give readers an insight on the “darker side of mutant kind” with one shot stories starring Magneto, Mojo, Mystique, Juggernaut, and Emma Frost.

Comic con isn’t just about news, trailers, sneak peeks, and meeting your favourite celebrities. It’s about the art of geek culture. Paying homage to those costume designers, comic book artists, and just having fun for being a nerd! With that said the atmosphere is a creative one, and it really brings out the best in people, as well as the most artistic from major studios.
